Quiet Control operates a minimalist personal-development platform at quietcontrol.eu - a Focus Timer, a Habit Tracker, and a Vision Journal. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
You can use the tools without an account. Signing in with Google enables cloud sync and additional features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
Quiet Control is not directed at children and is not designed for them. You must be at least 15 years old to create an account, which is the age of digital consent in the Czech Republic. If you are under 18, use the service with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
The service offers a free tier and a paid Pro subscription. Pro adds cloud sync across devices and deeper features across all three tools - for the Focus Timer: categories, daily goals, detailed analytics, session notes, and CSV export; for the Habit Tracker: up to 50 active habits, month view, groups and colors, recaps, and data export; for the Vision Journal: score trend, calendar, and the full reflection archive - plus a weekly email digest and a unified Weekly Review. Custom focus and break durations are free. Quiet Control reserves the right to modify features and pricing with reasonable notice.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($12.99/month) or annually ($119/year) through Stripe. A first Pro subscription includes a 3-day free trial; if you have subscribed to Pro before, the trial does not apply again and billing starts immediately. You can cancel at any time through your Profile & settings page.
Prices are shown in US dollars and are the total amount charged. No VAT is added, as Quiet Control is not currently registered for VAT. If that changes, prices shown to consumers will include any VAT that applies.
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the application, or use automated tools to interact with the service in an abusive manner.
Your data - focus sessions, categories, notes, habits, and daily reflections - belongs to you. Quiet Control does not claim ownership of your content. You can export your data (Pro feature) or delete it from each tool's Profile & settings page. Closing the account itself is handled on request - see "Data deletion" in the Privacy Policy.
The service is intended to remain available at all times but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. The tools work offline via PWA and local storage, so your data is not lost during outages.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Quiet Control is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, and the Czech courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you habitually live, or your right to bring a claim in your own country's courts where the law gives you that right.
If you are a consumer and a complaint cannot be settled directly, you can take it to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, which handles out-of-court consumer dispute resolution:

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
The data controller is Michal Červenka, Sokolská 1883/8, Nové Město, 120 00 Praha 2, Czech Republic, IČO 23394901, operating under the trade name Quiet Control. For any privacy question or request, email support@quietcontrol.eu.
When you sign in with Google, Quiet Control stores your name, email address, and profile picture for account identification. When you use the tools, your data - focus sessions (date, duration, category, notes), habits, and daily reflections - is stored to provide analytics and sync features.
Some technical data is also processed automatically whenever you load a page or submit a form: your IP address and basic request details. This is used only to keep the service running and to rate-limit abuse of the public forms and checkout endpoints, and it is kept for a short rolling window - see "How long data is kept" below. It is never used to build a profile of you.
Some of the providers listed above are based outside the European Economic Area, mainly in the United States, so your data may be transferred there. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses otherwise. MailerLite is established in the EU but may use sub-processors outside it under the same safeguards.
Your data is stored on Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. Free users' data is stored locally in the browser. Pro users' data is synced to the cloud for cross-device access.
Each tool has its own Delete control in its Profile & settings page - the Focus Timer removes your sessions and timer settings, the Habit Tracker your habits and their history, the Vision Journal your reflections and north star. Deleting removes the data from this device and, if you are signed in, from the cloud database straight away. If the cloud copy cannot be reached, you are told so rather than shown a success message.
To close the account itself - the Google sign-in record (name, email, profile picture) and anything else still held under your account - email support@quietcontrol.eu from your account address. It is done within one month at the latest, free of charge, and usually much sooner. Local data can also be cleared at any time by clearing your browser data.

Most of these are built into the product - you can export your data and delete it yourself from each tool's Profile & settings page, at any time, without asking. To close the account itself, or for anything else, email support@quietcontrol.eu. Requests are answered within one month, free of charge.
If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you can complain to the Czech supervisory authority:
Raising it directly first is welcome, and usually faster.
Quiet Control does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you, and does not profile you. The stats and summaries the tools show are calculated from your own data, for you to read.
A data protection officer is not appointed, because the service does not meet the conditions in GDPR Art. 37. Privacy questions go to support@quietcontrol.eu.
Strictly necessary cookies and local storage keep you signed in and hold your preferences and your data on your device. These are required for the service to work, and the law allows them to be set without consent.
Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them. Nothing in that group runs before you agree, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
The tool pages themselves do not show a cookie banner. Analytics and advertising stay switched off there unless you have already accepted on one of the public pages.
Your data inside the tools is never used for advertising and is never shared with any ad network.
A first Pro subscription starts with a 3-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial, and if you cancel before it ends you are not billed at all.
The trial is a one-off per person: if you have had a Pro subscription before, a new one starts billing immediately with no trial. The 14-day refund guarantee below still applies either way.
You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time through Profile & settings > Manage subscription. After cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle.
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering it, without giving a reason (Sec. 1829 of the Czech Civil Code, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU). A subscription is a digital service: by starting it you expressly ask for the service to begin straight away, during that 14-day window. You keep the right to withdraw, and if you do so after the service has started, a proportionate amount for the period you used may be charged.
In practice Quiet Control goes further than the law asks and refunds the first payment in full within 14 days - see the refund guarantee below. To withdraw, email support@quietcontrol.eu from your account email with a clear statement that you are withdrawing. No particular form is required.
If you're not satisfied with Pro, Quiet Control offers a full refund within 14 days of your first payment (after the trial ends). Email support@quietcontrol.eu with your account email and the refund will be processed within 5 business days.
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method through Stripe. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Paid guides purchased from the Library are digital products delivered instantly by email after purchase. Because access is immediate, these purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase you give explicit consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for that guide. If something is genuinely wrong - a broken file or a failed download - email support@quietcontrol.eu and it will be made right.
